Not quite familiar with how this works? Keep reading as we talk all about it!
A/C scenting systems are a part of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) scenting. HVAC scenting is when scents are diffused across a space through the central heating and cooling system.
This is achieved by attaching your A/C scenting system to an existing air conditioning system, which then disperses the aroma throughout your home. We offer the product in eleven different scents; Hope is a famous favorite, featuring notes of lime, ginger, tea tree, and rose. Keep reading to learn exactly how to use it!
Our A/C scenting system works like pure magic for home scenting, evenly injecting your favorite aroma into the air. Beyond that, it offers a variety of other benefits:
If you’re looking for the added benefit of setting a scenting routine with flexible intervals (such as start and end times), you may want to have a look at our A/C Scenting System Pro 😉.

The filter will then absorb the perfume and diffuse it throughout the home. And voila — wherever cool/warm air reaches, your favorite scent will, too!
Still struggling to install your A/C scenting system? Watch the process in easy-to-follow video footage.
When you order your A/C system package, you can expect to receive a mini dispenser, 2 AA batteries to use, and a remote control. You will also be provided an A/C scent refill (you can purchase this separately as well when you run out of yours) and instructions to use the product. Finally, you’ll receive complimentary scented cards, so you can enjoy samples of our other fragrances, too.
Scenting your home 360° can be achieved with the A/C scenting machine alone, but if you’re anything like us, you’d love to go overboard with scents. For you fragrance lovers, we offer various other products to complement your A/C scenting system, including:

The natural world, specifically the seasons of flowers and fruit, has historically been used as an inspiration for scents. It's simpler to find things at your neighbourhood grocery store year-round in our increasingly globalized world, which has somewhat cut us off from the seasonal cycle of produce. Many people report a particular scent appearing around this time of year; some describe it as sad, while others associate it with more pleasant harvest-type smells. A fall scent can be as much an emotional shift as a herald of the waning daylight. Whatever you feel when fall arrives, chances are smell plays a dramatic role in it—after all, the scent is more closely linked to memory than any other sense.
But where does this smell come from? No, it’s not just a cloud of pumpkin spice flowing in the breeze. Instead, it has a unique scientific explanation. The brisk, crisp, slightly sharp smell we associate with fall is the smell of leaves, trees, and plants dying and rotting. The memories we associate with the change of seasons make it pleasurable, even when many of us are allergic to moldy leaves and burning wood.
We're going to explore everyone's favourite season for the Doctor aromas blog post. It's difficult to separate the fall from its intensely emotive symbolism; just the sound of the word conjures up images of warm, comforting sweaters, sweet and steaming beverages, and family time. The expansiveness of summer gives way to the intimacy of fall, and the zesty tang of citrus or the wash of aquatic accord fades and intensifies into subtle spice and intricate woods, incense, and smoke.
Of the five senses, the sense of smell can have the most decisive impact. It's relaxing to fill your home with enticing fragrances, and scents often have strong ties to memories. The best home fragrance helps you relive your most cherished moments while creating the perfect environment to make new memories.
As the cold nights draw in and the days get shorter, we love to snuggle on the couch with a hot cup of tea with our fall scent and watch the trees change from green to orange.
Transitioning from summer to fall can be tricky, especially in the fragrance department. It’s still sunny and warm, so the oriental scents don’t feel right, but you’ll need something besides citrus and aquatic notes when the temperature drops. Fall 2022 calls for the Doctor's aromas scents for your home: Just right. We have them all together in one place. We’ve created a range of fall scents that capture the spirit of fall and help you feel relaxed and warm. Fall scents will bring an extra dose of ambiance to your home.

]]>Here are five easy ways to brighten up your dorm room:
Hang lights
If you get bored easily and can't stand the thought of staring at the same four walls for an entire semester, try hanging some lights from the ceiling. You can buy them online or make them yourself by stringing up a strand of Christmas lights or attaching glow-in-the-dark stars to your ceiling. It's not just about aesthetics — light therapy can improve moods and help you sleep better, too.
Buy a dorm-friendly scent diffuser
Scented candles are great, but they're not ideal for college students living in close quarters with other people. Diffusers allow you to enjoy all the benefits of scented candles without creating an unpleasant environment for everyone else in the room. Since they don't produce smoke, you can use them all day long without worrying about setting off fire alarms or burning down your building.
Bring in some plants
It's easy to get caught up in the drudgery of studying and homework. But a little greenery can go a long way toward making your dorm feel like home. Try adding a plant to the windowsill, or even better, get one that grows fruit or vegetables.
Make your bed look like home
You're going to be spending an awful lot of time in bed, so it's important to make sure it's comfortable. A great way to make your bed more homey is by bringing in some items from home. If you have a favorite blanket or pillow, bring it. You'll spend less time trying to find things when you need them and more time getting actual work done.
Use a picture frame collage
You can make your college dorm feel more like home by hanging up pictures of friends and family members. It's also a great way to show off the things that make you unique, such as your favorite sports team or hobby. Find pictures from home, family vacations and even old photos of yourself to hang up as decoration around your room. It's a great way to remind yourself of who you are and where you came from.
Takeaway: You can make your college dorm feel more like home
It's no simple task, trying to make such a small space feel like home, but with a little creativity, it can definitely be done.
We hope this article will inspire readers to make their dorm experiences more comfortable and enjoyable. Who knows—you may even make your college years count for more than just stamping a diploma!

If you host guests on Airbnb, you are aware of the value of reviews. In fact, the few words left by your visitors will determine whether or not your listing survives.
With the help of these suggestions, you can avoid suspensefully waiting for review submissions. Instead, create an enjoyable experience for visitors and watch the 5-star reviews roll in!
1. Set Expectations Before Arrival
Make sure your property surprises your visitors in a good way. Provide realistic photos and a detailed property description. Some imagery, for instance, can exaggerate the size or brightness of a building.
While you advocate for high-quality photography, avoid these disappointment- causing factors. Also, make sure to specify in your description if there is anything unusual about the property, such as a steep staircase or a remote location.
2. Make Room for Quality Sleep
Even if your visitors don't stay in your home during the day, they will undoubtedly spend the night there. Make your property a haven for sleep at night by providing everything they'll need.
Blackout curtains, comfortable mattresses, and comfortable pillows should be provided in each room. If the area near your property is noisy at night, you could even offer white-noise machines.
After all, happy guests are well-rested guests!
3. Practice cleanliness
Between each stay, thoroughly clean your property, taking special care to ensure that previous visitors haven't left any trash behind. Clean the bathroom and kitchen, empty the refrigerator and trash cans, and make sure that all of the linens are fluffy and stain- free. Make sure to mention in your property description if you employ professional housekeeping.
When these boxes are checked, your property will receive positive reviews, satisfied visitors, and even repeat business.
Use scent and Perfume in Airbnb
When one considers the idea of travel and its impact on the human psyche, it is easy to understand the need to create a homey atmosphere.
Parts of the overall travel experience include escape, adventure, fantasy, and fun. A successful customer visit is always a delightful fusion of the senses that spins the story of a specific place at a specific point in time. A hotel, inn, or Airbnb is more than just a house or building.
Repeat business is based on customer satisfaction with the general atmosphere's positive look, feel, and scent, rather than the specific products or services it may offer.
Scent not only changes the atmosphere, but it can also change one's mood. It is the most delicate of the five senses.
It is the first sense we develop as infants, and our noses contain up to six million odor- detecting cells.
According to a recent study, certain aromas affect mood by eliciting a muscle-relaxing effect, and certain scents have the ability to reduce stress in individuals.
Hotels and Airbnb’s are all about human interaction and hospitality.
Owners and managers of such establishments have learned to use fragrances as part of the specific message they want to convey to all travelers who cross their threshold, even if only for one night.
Masterfully designed scents, combined with decorative flourishes such as artfully placed displays of fruit or a bouquet of colorful blooms, and relaxing music, all work together to create an illusory feeling, whether of homey comfort or pampered elegance.
4. Make check-in and check-out easier
Checking in and out will be the first and last things your visitors do, so they will definitely remember both of these processes. You should try to make it as seamless and easy for your visitors as you can.
Don't be afraid to request a 5-star review if you've done a truly outstanding job; you deserve it!
5. Provide the Fundamentals
Give your visitors enough supplies to last at least one night before they need to go shopping. Coffee, tea, granola bars, dishwasher pods, dish soap, and paper towels should all be available in the kitchen. Make sure there is plenty of toilet paper, soap, and shampoo in the bathroom.
A quick internet connection is now considered part of the "basics" due to the growing acceptance of remote work. Make sure your WiFi network is simple for visitors to use. Try WiFi, for instance, to manage your network remotely, customize your WiFi splash page, and get visitors to accept the terms of service.
Have you ever walked into a store, and it just SMELLED expensive? Or clean, peaceful, cozy, or like you’re suddenly hungry even?
This is hardly ever a coincidence.
Companies use scent marketing intentionally. From beauty spas to restaurant chains and luxury designers, these brands know that smells play a big role in the consumer experience and, therefore, their sales.
Why is this? Let’s take a look at the psychology behind scent marketing and how realtors can use it to sell more.
The science of scents
Smells affect us by triggering emotions and memory. They affect our mood and even subconsciously impact how we think.
That’s why we associate pine with the holidays and cozy smells with fall!
Different smells evoke certain feelings, and they have a big impact on consumers. One study on smells and consumer behavior found that scenting in a retail environment made participants feel like they spent less time in the store than they actually did.
This is because smells are powerful, affecting our perception, preference, and even emotions. So as a salesperson, it’s advantageous to use scent marketing.
Scent marketing: What is it?
When brands want to leave an impression or convey certain messages, they use smells.
Aveda salons use floral and plant scents for a fresh smell. Hyatt hotels use leather, patchouli, and orange to create a luxurious ambiance. And Bloomingdales uses lilac in their lingerie department and coconut in their swimwear. Each of these scents has a meaning and intention (Spoiler alert: They intend to sell more, and they’re all doing a great job of it.)
Using scent marketing to sell homes
Okay, but we’re not selling natural shampoos or expensive swimwear, are we Nope. We’re selling homes. And home prices depend a lot on perceived value.
If you want to sell a home for more, you have to consider the buyer’s experience from beginning to end. This means taking care of everything from enhancing curb appeal to fixing that leaky faucet and ensuring the home actually smells nice.
The last thing you want is a buyer to be turned off or think the home is worth less because of an unpleasant scent. It could even be a smell neither you nor your seller notice anymore! (We’re looking at you, musty laundry rooms and smelly carpets…)
As a real estate agent, using smells is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve the buyer experience and up the sale value.
Home buyer judgment coming in 7,6,5…
When potential buyers walk through the door, you have 7 seconds to dazzle them. Wait - come again?
It’s true! Science tells us that it takes people an average of only 7 seconds to form a first impression.
But not to fear. By adding scents to your marketing toolkit, you can entrance your buyers from the first moment. Scent marketing, along with the other amazing things you do as a listing agent, will help you sell that home for the high-ticket value you’re after.

]]>Because scents adorn happenings most beautifully and seal the emotions in your memory lane, what better way to complement your wedding day than by choosing the perfect one? A scent that would fit your style and story flawlessly?
Just imagine, a beautiful composition of fragrances enchanting all of your guests, making a statement on the atmosphere you wish to portray. And let’s not forget about the most epic part – your beloved wearing the perfect perfume that will forever remind you of your iconic “I do”. That scent you feel as you get near to one another and share the first kiss as newlyweds. Is there anything more precious? We bet you’re going to remember it even after decades as soon as you smell the fragrance!
Why is it important to fit the right scent with your wedding theme?
You’ve spent so much time preparing all the details, but in the end, the important thing is to channel a seamless cohesive theme that reflects your character. However, one of the main elements that will bring everything together is precisely the scents. From the perfume to the diffusers and sprays, certain fragrances will elevate your aesthetic and ambiance even more.
Naturally, finding the ONE, when it comes to a collection of scents, can be a little challenging. You probably aren’t sure which ones would be ideal for your style, and that is totally okay. To help you choose, we have paired the most beautiful scents with their perfect theme.
Modern Wedding Themes:When it comes to channeling a modern style, fashion-forward couples present their bold side. The scents are usually medium to the strong intensity and portray the edgy nature of their story, complemented with understated elegance. The fragrances are usually musky and have a distinct trace of different notes. Such notes that can match the modern theme are orange, cinnamon, sandalwood, or maybe even black pepper for that extra edge.
Among our products, you will find aromatic products, perfumes, essential oils, and fragrances that feature these scents, such as Wooden Spirit with a wonderful combination of Clove Bud, Cinnamon, and Gurjum Balsam, or Terra, a blend of Orange, Black Pepper and Vetiver. Both of them can be associated with earthy tones, muted hues, neutrals, or even a monochromatic aesthetic to make a strong yet elegant statement.
Boho Wedding Themes:When it comes to this romantic and laidback style, weddings are usually an ode to the free-spirited and playful nature of the couple. However, often, the celebrations are held outdoors, so the fragrances can be chosen according to the setting.
For example, if you are hosting your big day in a garden or a forest, you might want to enhance the scents of nature, or simply channel a quintessential scent like lavender. Lavender is gentle and when there is a little breeze, it leaves a wonderful trace in the air with a romantic free-spirited poetic note. Also, you can use perfumes that have vetiver or citrusy notes for a balanced yet edgy flair. The best notes are fresh or musky. For that reason, our Euphoria collection is an amazing choice for the bohemian bride, featuring Vanilla, Lavender, and Peach with traces of Orange and Patchouli essential oils.
The previously mentioned Terra can also fit the boho theme seamlessly, to complement that perfect terracotta color palette and feel. When it comes to both indoor and outdoor spaces, our bestseller HOPE is perfect for both modern and boho themes, and also almost every season, thanks to its immaculate blend – Lime, Ginger, Tea Tree, and Rose along with Lime, Orange, Patchouli and Gurjum Balsam essential oils.
Garden Wedding Themes:These outdoor affairs entwined with florals and gorgeous unique settings have won the hearts of many brides, and it is no wonder why. There is a beautiful whimsy and romance that complements garden weddings. Especially during Spring, there are already many floral scents in the air, so how can you make your unique statement and yet achieve cohesiveness with nature? Naturally, floral tones will be a perfect choice, like roses, violets, peonies, etc. With romance and elegance in mind, we have curated the perfect fragrance for these weddings, White Velvet. The collection features magical notes of Peony, Tuberose, and Violet Leaf with Ylang Ylang essential oils.
Classic & Glamorous Wedding Themes:For this theme, you need something elegant and opulent, yet gentle and timeless. So which scents give off that classic vibe you yearn for? Dominant tones like jasmine, roses, or blackcurrant can achieve sophistication in an instant. Jasmine has long been the main component of many perfumes along the centuries, so is no wonder how its fragrance has become so timeless. Our collection Glamour embodies Blackcurrant, Jasmine, Musk, and Tonka beans which will ensnare the senses of everyone present!
Romantic Wedding Themes:Choosing the perfect scents for the romantic bride is often an easy task because it usually depends on personal preferences. However, gentle notes (lavender, rose, jasmine, vanilla, etc) will always have an advantage, along with sensual fragrances like sandalwood. That being said, Euphoria would be one of our choices, along with HOPE.
Summer Wedding Themes:Whether you are planning a destination beach wedding or you simply want to channel a fresh scent for your memories. In essence, summer fragrances are ever so whimsical and playful. They often have citrusy tones which We love to pair our Caribbean Breeze collection with beach weddings because of its notes of Tangerine, Mint, and Jasmine, along with Orange, Tangerine, and Lemon essential oils – oceanic, fresh and elegant! Perfect for a far-flung beach destination affair. Also if you wish to portray a bold tone, then we definitely recommend scents like grapefruit, orange, and lemongrass. You will find such fragrances in our Success collection, ideal for those ‘dancing into the night’ moments. And of course, when in doubt, HOPE is also an amazing choice for a summer fete!
Rustic Wedding Themes:That shabby chic yet elegant allure of the rustic wedding theme is ever so popular, and it is easy to see why – natural elements, a cozy atmosphere, and a beautiful aesthetic that brings people together. So what would be the fragrance to pair with this whimsy? Think about woodsy scents, green meadows, and natural beauty like cedarwood. Our blend of Fresh Figs, Green Leaves, and Cedarwood in the Promise collection will definitely complement the theme wonderfully.
Fall Wedding Themes:Fall brings crisp air and the need to turn to something more spicy and warm like musky tones. Along with the collections we listed in the Modern and Boho themes, which are amazing for this season as well, you can bring a distinct warmth with unique spices that pair well with tea and coffee – the signature hot beverages for the season. Those are cinnamon, cardamom, pumpkin spice, etc. Furthermore, to achieve warmth, you need to turn to the color palette of autumn that is mostly amber-toned. That means a perfume that has an amber scent would be a perfect fit because of the rich and spicy tones. Naturally, we curated a soiree of ingredients that can ideally convey the fall aesthetic – Oriental Dream, composed of Cardamom, Amber, and Vetiver.
We hope that now, you feel more confident about choosing scents and perfumes for your particular wedding theme! If you wish to learn more, explore our scenting products.
]]>You know, the ones where you can't seem to concentrate. You're killing it at work and feeling like you're on top of the world, and then, bang! Your mind is in another place. You're alone in the room, yet you can't seem to finish that project for some reason.
But what if I told you there was a way to keep yourself focused? No, it's not coffee (or at least not only coffee). It's aromatherapy! Now, let me be clear: we're not saying you can sprinkle some lavender on your keyboard and suddenly become an encyclopedia of productivity (although we are interested in trying that). We are saying that there are scents that can help you focus and scents that encourage you to relax—and it helps to know what they are.
Jasmine Essential Oil:
If you're struggling to focus, you may want to try aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils extracted from plants to aid in wellness and well-being. It's a centuries-old practice that is finally getting the respect it deserves, thanks to modern science. Some essential oils have been shown to help people focus better on their work or improve their mood or energy levels.
Jasmine essential oil can help you focus by increasing your sense of alertness, which makes it a great option for an afternoon pick-me-up. It has a sweet, floral scent that can be used throughout the day as a gentle reminder of your goals. Our Glamour perfume combines jasmine with other essential oils like musk, tonka beans, and blackcurrant—and it smells so good!
Mint:
Are you someone who is constantly staring at their phone or seeking for the next thing to do? You're not the only one who feels this way. But don't worry: it's not you who has a problem; it's our culture. Rather than focusing on one thing at a time, we're pushed to be always on the lookout for the next distraction. It's no surprise that people have difficulty focusing on their work.
That's why we created Spa Essential Oil: to help you clear your head and stay focused while you get things done. Spa contains eucalyptus and mint essential oil, one of the best oils for boosting concentration and mental clarity. The scent of mint is also strongly tied to improved memory function, making it ideal for studying or preparing for a big presentation!
Lemongrass Essential Oil:
It's the middle of the afternoon, and you're losing focus. You've been working hard, but it feels like no matter what you do, your mind keeps drifting back to that episode of "The Office" where Jim plays a prank on Dwight involving a stapler in Jell-O.
You remember when you were in college, you'd take a shot of espresso and a bite of chocolate every time you got through one page of your textbook. Well, we have something much better for you now. It's called Success.
Success is an aromatherapy blend designed to help you stay focused. It's made with lemongrass essential oil—a scent used for centuries to help people hone in on their goals.
Lemongrass may help you feel more alert and focused and better able to tackle your tasks. It's also believed that lemongrass essential oil can help reduce stress and anxiety, so if you're feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work you have to do, Success perfume could be just the thing to help get you in the right mental state.
Orange Essential Oil:
When you're trying to clear your head and stay focused, what's the best scent to keep in mind?
The answer might surprise you.
It's orange essential oil.
Not only is orange essential oil incredibly refreshing, but it has also been proven to have a stimulating effect on the senses, which helps to give your cognitive functions a boost. The other main benefit of orange oil is that it can help with depression and anxiety.
Because staying focused often means dealing with unpleasant feelings or challenging tasks, it can be hard to do when you're feeling anxious or depressed. By having a scent like this around, you can ensure that you'll always have a tool at hand that will help keep you grounded and free from those negative emotions.
If you like the idea of orange essential oil, our scent Hope contains orange essential oil and some other scents to promote creativity, and improves concentration: lime, gurjum balsam, and patchouli essential oils.
Lemon Essential Oil:
Lemon essential oil is perfect for when you need to be focused, like if you're heading into a big meeting or if you're studying for a test. It's also great for when you want to feel uplifted and energetic.
Caribbean Breeze, one of our scents, is all about helping you focus on what you love and ignore what you don't. It includes tangerine, mint, and jasmine with orange, the essential oil ideal for helping you connect with your feelings and emotions.
If you're working at home or in some other environment where you can take advantage of the natural smells around you, try out one or more of these perfumes.

]]>MIAMI, Oct. 6, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- A study conducted by the University of British Columbia demonstrated that commercial fragrances containing certain essential oils also have antibacterial benefits. The study, underwritten by Doctor Aromas, showed that several fragrances could kill microorganisms tested at different concentrations in a laboratory setting. The study suggests that commercial fragrances represent a potential new approach to control pathogens in enclosed and crowded areas, especially those related to airborne diseases.
According to a recent study, the global market for aromatizing fragrances was estimated at $US 6 billion in 2018 and is projected to increase to US $8 billion by the end of 2026. The popularity of these products has increased because of their aromatherapy applications, as people seek to enhance their physical and psychological conditions while neutralizing unpleasant odors.
"With people spending much of their time at home due to a growing work-from-home culture, we have found they have placed a premium on creating an optimum home environment conducive to work and relaxation depending on the space. Home fragrances have become an essential ingredient to this end," said Marcelo Zelicovich, founder of Doctor Aromas. "The fact that essential oils derived from nature also have anti-bacterial agents is an added benefit that we felt needed to be studied further."
The study, led by noted researchers Hagar Bach and Horacio Bach, medical faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, tested 25 commercial fragrances on a panel of human pathogenic bacterial and fungal strains. The findings showed that three single fragrances were able to inhibit the growth of six bacterial strains, whereas all fragrances tested showed anti-fungal activity, including mold that grows on various surfaces. The fragrances that showed an increase in antibacterial activity in the highest number of bacterial strains contained menthol and citral, broadly reported as antibacterial compounds. Fragrances exhibiting anti-fungal activity can be attributed to the presence of geranial and neral, which have also been known to have anti-fungal compounds. Of particular significance is the fact that two fragrances increased the secretion of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 by an unknown mechanism. In addition, these fragrances contained D-limonene and linalool, which have shown anti-inflammatory activity, an important finding particularly for individuals who have asthma.
"Future efforts should be focused on the proper distribution of these fragrances to sanitize potential disseminators of microbial pathogens such as air conditioning units in shopping centers, hospitals, or any place where a conglomeration of people might be affected by these microbes," said Horacio Bach, a clinical assistant professor of the University of British Columbia's Division of Infectious Diseases, and co-author of the study.

]]>1. Switch it up
We all need a change at some point and if we are always reading the same kinds of books we might just get tired of reading all together. And genre isn’t the only way to switch it up. Try switching the format such as listening to audiobooks or the length of the book. If you realize you are always picking up 300+ page books, try opting for a shorter read and see if that smaller demand on your attention and quicker gratification can help you get back into reading.
2. Pick up an old favorite
I recently read the Harry Potter series again and it fueled my energy and love for reading again. As I read through the series I picked up different books in between and found that I was always excited to get back to Harry Potter because it was one of the first series I read as a kid and thoroughly enjoyed. Finding comfort in old favorites and turning to books we already loved can take us back to our youth which reminds us of simpler times.
3. Seek out books that reflect your struggles and use them as tool
Whether you are tired of working your 9 to 5 job, are struggling with a certain relationship, feeling down about a certain life event and feeling grief, or are just feeling all around non productive lately, try to find a book that you can relate to. Books have the potential to teach us so much if we take the time to let them help.
4. Make reading quality time and then lose track of it
Instead of trying to keep a count of how many books you’ve read and in what timespan, try to pay attention to how different time spent reading feels. We often think reading takes time, but reading can help us lose track of time all together. That being said, it might be a good idea to set quality time aside to read and honor it like any other commitment. But don’t focus on the amount of time you have left, just focus on enjoying your dedicated time to reading.
5. Create a space for your reading
With a lot of bookstores, libraries and coffee shops closed due to covid, many people got creative in finding solutions to make spaces to read and work. No matter how tiny, a reading space is often a good idea to get back into reading. Setting a dedicated space helps focus on the one task we like to do in that space. All you need is a certain spot, maybe a comfy pillow and time to forget about the world as you dive into your new read.
6. Seize the opportunity to read
As a contradiction to our last suggestion, reading can be done almost anywhere. If you are now just starting to head back to the office for work and finding lost time on the train, take the moment, even if it is 15 minutes to find comfort in a book. Find pleasure in just a few snatched moments of reading, they are just as worthwhile as the immersive experience of spending 5 hours reading in a designated spot.
7. Join a book club
A great way to get back into a post fully quarantine state is to join a book club either in person or online. This is an awesome way to form connections and find interesting discussion through different books you might not have read had you not had the commitment to a book club to read it.
8. Quality, not quantity
Prioritize the quality of the attention you are giving to the words rather than just zooming through. Reading is not as much about what you read rather than how you read it. Enjoy reading freely and engaging in it without worrying about accruing literary miles. If you ever feel like you are “not reading enough” it will make it seem like another chore rather than a fun pass time.
9. Pick up used or free books
Though we really love supporting our local bookstores, there are many online websites where you can purchase used books and support small businesses. Thrift books and book depository are two websites that are great options for used books while Libby is an app provided through public libraries to get more ebooks and audiobooks. Other cool online extensions such as Library Extension is good to see if the book you are looking at on Goodreads or KindleUnlimited is available at the libraries you have access to first. For free books, try swapping with friends and family to get your hands on a new collection.
10. Add scent
As with most activities, adding other senses can be an awesome way to enhance experiences. By adding scent to our reading sessions, we can become more alert and in tune with what we are reading and find familiarity with both senses. Just like there is something unbeatable about cozying up under a blanket next to the fire to read a book, there is something incredible about having your diffuser transform your space with the smell of citrus or flowers.
Here are 5 books we recommend and the scents we paired them with and would recommend for you to do so as well!
So to capitalize on the sun’s energy and mood-boosting abilities, we wanted to share our favorite ways to enjoy our summertime happiness! We know it has been harder than ever to travel to your dream vacation this summer, but whether you’re leaving soon for vacation or not, here are three ways to decorate your home to boost your mood, enjoy the sun, and feel the breeze of the summer forests.
1. Plan an afternoon to look for some indoor plants for your space
As much as we humans love the summer, plants love it just a little bit more! Summer is a great time to invest in new indoor plants because they will grow easily with the strong sunlight. Plants can create an outdoorsy atmosphere inside your home and transport you to your tropical oasis, or the forests of your dreams, or even the desert you’ve been waiting to travel to. Many different plants grow well indoors, check out these that are low maintenance and thrive in sunlight:
2. Decorate with scent
Place a Wooden Spirit reed diffuser on the bedside table and open the window (if there is any breeze at that time). Take a moment to close your eyes and smell the notes of clove and cinnamon coming from the bamboo sticks. Imagine the forest. Breathe. Focus on creating a space that honors your wellbeing and helps you focus on your breath. What does the smell remind you of? Can you taste the smell? Does it remind you of any food or spices? What does it sound like? Let the smell of Wooden Spirit transport you as you lounge comfortably in your home. If you’re looking for a sweeter wooden scent, we also recommend Oriental Dream, with notes of cardamom, amber, and vetiver.
3. Add some color to your space
There is nothing that says summer like a pop of color. We all have those home projects that we have been pushing off for a while now, and summer is the perfect time to put those dreams to work! While you get to thinking what new decor you will accent your home with, we recommend incorporating some color into your home. It might be painting a piece of furniture, or hanging up a new piece of artwork, maybe even painting an entire wall. Repurposing old furniture by painting it and giving it a new life is always a good idea! Need some color inspiration? We loved this article that recommends 18 colors for your summer DIY projects!
1. Can I choose more than one perfume?
We often have clients who like more than one scent, and that’s great! Scents can greatly complement one another and you can play with using one scent in one room and another scent in the other. This type of scent “layering” can create a unique atmosphere in each room. Maybe you have a Euphoria reed diffuser in your bedroom to create a relaxed atmosphere and a stone diffuser in your living room with Caribbean Breeze to create a more beachy atmosphere. Let perfumes enhance each of your spaces!
2. Are there other things that will affect the smell of my perfumes?
Many different factors affect the smell of your perfumes and your own perception of smell. Primarily, how your ventilation is distributed throughout your home and the environment you live in; temperature plays a big role in how perfume develops, both hot and cold climates affect the time a perfume lasts in the atmosphere and its intensity. If you are someone who cooks a lot and uses aromatics frequently, your perfume might be less intense or hidden by the smell of your food. Interestingly enough, smokers also tend to have an impacted sense of smell and might smell perfumes differently at different times
3. Can perfume help change my mood?
Absolutely! Science has proven that different scents and aromas can impact mood and emotions. The name for the science behind this phenomenon is called ‘aromachology.’ Citrus scents such as those found in Hope and Success can make you more alert and attentive, while floral scents such as Glamour and White Velvet can make you more relaxed and calm. Perfumes have the ability to change our moods and perceptions and therefore choosing the right perfume for the right moment is essential.
4. How do I choose a perfume as a gift?
Though scent is very personal, buying perfume as a gift for someone else is not impossible. In an ideal scenario, the person you’re finding a gift for has been to your home and loves your chosen Doctor Aromas scents! However, maybe they haven’t yet, so you need to find a way to determine their scent preference. At Doctor Aromas, all of our scents have extensive descriptions, so if you know the type of body perfume someone likes, you can find the home perfume equivalent. For example, if someone uses floral perfumes, they will probably like sweeter scents for their home as well. However, if you have no clue what type of smells someone likes, a safer bet is to purchase a scented card box, which comes with a scented sample of each of our signature scents and a $15 coupon. And you can add an additional gift card to this scented card box! While home perfumes are an amazing gift, don’t forget that just because you like the way something smells, that doesn’t mean your friends will.

]]>1. How do I choose the right perfume for me?
The good thing about perfume is that there are no right or wrong answers, your personal taste is what matters. Having confidence in the perfume company’s reputation is key to choosing freely; knowing that the quality, whatever your taste, is superior. With Doctor Aromas’ scents, we recommend trying it directly in the air (with any scenting product, e.g. diffuser, room spray, or AC dispenser). Even though samples are a good way to have a “taste” of the scent, once it is in the air, it changes some. If you choose to first smell from a scented card (our samples) or a blotter (the white perfumed paper sticks that you can find at any beauty counter), allow a few minutes for the top notes to subside and then smell the sample. Though blotters and scented cards are a useful way of eliminating no-hopers, you really need to smell Doctor Aromas in the air for the full effect. Buying without smelling it all together is perfectly okay too, you can read reviews, go with your gut, choose from citrusy to woodsy and take that leap of faith. Most likely, you will love it!
2. Why do I love some perfumes and loathe others?
We are naturally conditioned to have preferences for smell. This is both due to our genetics/DNA as well as our general life experiences. We have a natural instinct to connect smells and different notes with certain memories. One’s ‘olfactory fingerprint’, as it is called, is unique from person to person and it is a conglomeration of all of the smells we’ve had throughout life. Just as we have different preferences and responses for other senses, such as with food and music, we each respond differently to different smells.
3. How does my home decor and style affect which perfumes will be complemented by my chosen scent? What about the seasons?
Scent is an amazing decor addition and it is a great way to add your own unique touch to your home. Pairing scents for your home can be done in many different ways including by color, season, and decor theme. For homes filled with eclectic colors, you might want to choose a citrus scent that reminds you of fun bright colors such as Hope®. For homes with a more minimalist setting, you might want to choose a wooden scent like Oriental Dream. Overall, scents can match with almost any style and it’s really up to you! However, changing your scent more often means you will start to notice the scent more. Our noses often become used to a scent after a while so if you feel that happening to you, changing up your scent might be a good idea. A good way to potentially do this is by pairing your scent to the seasons! We release seasonal scents to add the perfect scent of fall, winter, spring or summer into your home! Holiday scent in the winter time adds the perfect touch of holiday into your home. (psssst, Miami folks, you can still pretend we have seasons and use seasonal scents!)
4. Why are perfumes so expensive?
In general, perfumes are expensive whether they’re for your home or for personal use on your body. But this makes sense! When developing any sort of product that is meant to be used in your space or on your body, quality is of utmost importance. The price of a perfume is a reflection of every single detail that is put into crafting not just a scent, but an experience. Can you really put a price on something that transports you to your favorite vacation spot in the Caribbean? Or reminds you of your honeymoon on the coast of Italy? Or conjures up the memory of a loved one you haven’t seen in a while? All in all, perfume is an art, and a craft and we truly believe the experience it creates is priceless.

]]>"I don’t know what product is right for me but..."
(1) I have a central AC unit and want to have Doctor Aromas throughout my entire home…
AND I have a home that is smaller than 1500 square feet:
The product for you is the Start Up Kit 1500 or Start Up Kit Pro 1500. The smaller aroma refill, the 1500, will ensure that with every spray, your scent reaches your entire home without being too overpowering. The intensity can then be controlled by determining how many sprays you want per hour — leaving you with the perfect size spray at your determined time interval!
AND I have a home that is larger than 1500 square feet:
The product for you is the Start Up Kit 3000 or Start Up Kit Pro 3000. This larger refill, the 3000, will ensure that with every spray, your chosen scent reaches your entire home.
But how do I choose between the Start Up Kit and Start Up Kit Pro?
Now, this is a personal preference. Our Start Up Kit Pro comes with the DA Pro Dispenser and allows you to set a personalized spray schedule with flexible intervals — allowing you to choose which days of the week you want your system to operate on and the start and end times each day. This is the best option for businesses and homeowners that like to have their spaces perfumed on a schedule.
The Start Up Kit comes with our DA Mini Dispenser and allows you to schedule a set spraying interval that has to be changed manually— the programing allows you to set the frequency and intensity with a remote control.
(2) I don’t have a central AC unit and want to have Doctor Aromas throughout my entire home…
Diffusers and sprays are the products for you! Here’s a closer look to the different products within this category.
If you have installation questions...
Our A/C Dispenser system might seem a bit tricky at first but it is really easy to install and we are here to help! The system works with the pressurization of the A/C dispersing throughout your home, so your fan must be “ON” rather than on “AUTO” so that your DA system can dispense throughout your home when it is programmed to. Turning the fan to the “ON” position will allow the product to diffuse through your home with the air that is naturally circulating.
Some AC units are trickier than others, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service team for more personalized help! We want you to be happy with your new DA Products, let us help you enjoy them!
Sensory Play*
At Doctor Aromas we value the magic that our senses can create, and children actually tend to use their senses in much more imaginative and playful ways.
You can start a conversation with your kids by asking questions! What does purple paint smell like? Can you describe it? Does it sound familiar? Do you remember anything when you smell it? The sense of smell stimulates memories and emotions, helping you remember memories from the past or build new ones for the future!
Sensory play can take many forms, connecting the power of scent with other senses.
Try adding a drop of different scents in different paints. Maybe the color purple smells like lavender and vanilla, an amazing combination in our scent Euphoria. Or perhaps the color pink smells like Hope®, a blend of lime and ginger. A picture is worth a thousand words, but maybe it’s also worth a thousand smells! By enhancing and combining senses, kids are able to unlock new forms of creativity and imagination!
Check out this step by step from ABC news which includes three different art projects with essential oils!
Springtime Fun
As the weather starts to get warmer, it is a perfect opportunity for kids to be outside. Whether you take a short walk and collect some cool flowers and leaves, or have kids play in the yard, being outside helps kids feel grounded. Incorporating cool art projects with collected plants is an awesome way to get kids familiar with nature. A good idea is to press flowers or leaves in a book or trace their shape over paper! Kids can have fun coloring and drawing their new collected plants. Alternatively, take a walk around the block with your kids and have them close their eyes. Have them describe the different sounds and smells they notice!
Get Wet
Water play is always exciting for kids and it can take so many shapes. If you’re in Miami like we are and it’s really warm outside, kids can play with a hose or can fill up buckets to play with their toys — getting wet and running around is fun for everyone! Alternatively, water play inside can just be filling up a bath or a bucket so that kids can play with their toys and maybe even call it a car wash!

]]>Science shows that there is a correlation between what we hear and smell. Two experiments conducted in 2011 investigated the effect of auditory stimulation on the perception of odors both in pleasantness and intensity. The report showed that olfactory stimuli were rated more pleasant when paired with congruent sounds while not affecting the smell’s power. For more information on this scientific study, check it out here.
In 2018, Doctor Aromas participated in the Magic of Synesthesia concert with the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) by incorporating scents into their show. This immersive multimedia experience stimulated all the senses. The addition of Doctor Aromas complemented the concert beautifully and created multidimensionality in the music. The right scent, much like music, transforms the way we perceive places and how we interact with them, giving a new meaning to the ways we usually think of traditional concerts. By combining our senses, we can expand them and perhaps enjoy them even more. That is why Doctor Aromas would like to introduce you to the playlists of scent. We have curated music playlists that we think speak to our Doctor Aromas scents without focusing on particular genres or artists—starting with our most popular scent — our Hope playlist! What do you like to listen to as you enjoy your Doctor Aromas perfumes? Let us know!
We hope you can dive into the world of music, focusing on the wonders of smell. Be on the lookout for new playlists for your favorite Doctor Aromas scent!
]]>Though this year was difficult and strange for all of us, it has highlighted how strong a global community we can be. Within almost a year of this pandemic circulating the globe and affecting hundreds of thousands of different communities and millions of people, scientists have worked collaboratively to develop a vaccine — which was officially administered to the first American nurse on December 14th!
As a small business, we are thankful for the overwhelming amount of support, inquiries, and love we have received this year from our clients. We hope that through our hard work, we have brought something a little better to your lives — something brighter, something lighter, and something with a bit more Hope®. At Doctor Aromas, this year meant adjusting to new social distancing guidelines, working from home, changing production and packaging methods, wearing masks, and shifting to online meetings within the company. It was hard, but we did it, and we were able to share new products with you and launch new campaigns— any Nostalgia or Alegria fans?!
As we reflect, however, it wasn’t all bad; in fact, here is a list of some fantastic things that happened this year!
If this wasn’t enough, here are 50 more good things that happened so far in 2020:
We wish you all the happiest of holidays, and we can’t wait to show you what 2021 has in store for you at Doctor Aromas.
]]>Go through all of your products
There are probably so many old, unused, and cluttered products in the drawers and cabinets. Take two big trash bags and sort through all of those products. Make a bag for items that can be emptied and recycled (check the number at the bottom and then check which numbers your local county accepts for recycling) and one bag for items to be thrown away. Remember that whatever hasn’t been used in over a year will probably never be used again! If you’re unsure about a product, a good trick is to leave it out on the counter for the next week to determine if it is something that you indeed use. If it is used within the week, easy, keep it! If not — it goes. If you have a lot of counter space and find that you always leave products out, consider investing in some countertop storage.
Plush towels
There is nothing nicer than coming out of a warm shower or bath and wrapping yourself up in a plush, clean towel. However, towels can end up being rather expensive (why? We might never know). It is crucial to find towels that make you feel clean, refreshed, and dry. Good towels make a big difference in the bathroom, and finding ones that you like are simple with the help of the internet! There are a bunch of different guides and rankings to get you your dream towel.
Plants
Many plants do well in low light and high humidity conditions! In the bathroom, plants can liven up your space and improve air quality. A couple of the best-rated plants include the bromeliad, Chinese evergreen, and ferns. All three of these plants are easy to maintain, grow beautifully, and will thank you every time you get in a warm shower and turn up the humidity! The bromeliad grows best in bright indirect light, so if you have a small sunny window in your bathroom but maybe no sill to set it on— this is the plant for you! Set it directly below the window so it can absorb the light without getting direct sunlight. The Chinese evergreen is perfect for those with smaller windows. It prefers low, indirect light and does not like full sun, so you can place it near a window that does not receive maximum sun exposure all the time. This plant has beautiful leaves and can grow quite big! Lastly, ferns include various plants, but this family of plants is great because they love the shade. A couple of recommended ferns for the bathroom include the Boston fern, the button fern, and the bird’s nest fern! Buy some plants, do some research on your plant species and plant away!
Diffusers
Scents are a fantastic way to add the finishing touch to your bathroom. They create a magical, spa-like setting and can allow us to relax. With Doctor Aromas products that contain quality, natural essential oils, adding an aromatherapy stone diffuser to your bathroom will help relax your body and mind. If relaxation is what you’re looking for, there should be three oils you’re looking out for, lavender, rose, and ylang-ylang. We have three different scents that contain these these oils! Euphoria is a blend containing notes of lavender, and our most popular fragrance Hope, contains notes of rose. And if you’re looking for a more sweet smell, our White Velvet scent contains ylang-ylang essential oil. Whatever scent you may choose, we are confident that the diffuser will transform your bathroom space and make you feel like you’re on vacation.

Buy reusable or reused items!
While single use plastics are initially cheap and seem convenient, they represent an inevitable cycle of spending money and creating waste. Once you realize how short their life cycle is, it is evident that buying reusable products is way more sustainable, for your wallet and the earth. Why? Because most products that aren’t single use can be used over and over again, even if their initial cost is a bit higher. A list for easy swaps and tips:
1. Reusable paper towels: throw them in the wash once they’re dirty and they’re ready to be used again!
2. Refillable water bottles: water is free! Purchase (or maybe you already own) any sort of water filtering system either under the sink or in your fridge and fill up your bottle for on the go hydration!
3. Food items bottled in glass containers: by buying glass items instead of plastic, we are able to repurpose them better. For example, making a glass tea bottle into a reusable water bottle or a wine bottle into a vase for flowers. You can even get fancy with this and buy a glass bottle cutter and form your wine bottle into drinking glasses!
Below are a few examples of how you can DIY!
4. Laundry detergent powder or pods: several companies now offer strong laundry detergent powder that comes wrapped in paper instead of single use packages, most of the packing also comes in recyclable or biodegradable paper. Companies such as Dropps make great ones!
5. Skip the bags: when shopping at a grocery store, skip the plastic bag for fruits and veggies that have skins or peels that you won’t eat anyway. At the checkout line, make sure you bring your own reusable bags, in certain states which charge you for plastic bags this alone can save you money!
6. Thrift, thrift, thrift: thrift and consignment stores are underrated in my opinion. It can be a bit more time consuming but thrifting is fun! Take a friend and make a day out of it as you shop for trendy clothing at really low prices. Not only will you find trendy pieces, you will also be saving money.
Food wise
If you’ve just started cooking, do not panic — it is the 21st century! Cooking can not only be simple but also really fun and cheap. Here are a few tips!
1. Recipes: If you’re new to cooking, read recipes. If you’re ready to open your own Michelin Star Restaurant, also read recipes. There is so much to learn and so many different types of foods that can be used.
2. Meal Prep: I highly suggest planning out meals in order to save money. Meal prepping not only saves money but also helps save time and food waste. I suggest trying to buy enough food for a set timeline, maybe one or two weeks depending on how many you’re cooking for. When you buy for a certain timeline and meal prep, you reduce the amount of junk food you eat, the number of trips to the supermarket (yay eco-friendly), and the food you order in or take out. Particularly in today’s age with food delivery systems, it is easier than ever to get food delivered for really low prices, cook it up and ball out chef style!
3. Use food scraps: Food scraps can be useful to make vegetable broth! A ton of recipes online show how to collect, store and then cook your veggie scraps to make yummy broth for soups.
Keep your space clean and fresh
Maintaining a clean space is important for everyone. However, some days tend to get long and time seems to be too valuable to waste and somehow cleaning always seems to land at the bottom of the to-do list. Now, I’m not saying to swap all sorts of cleaning for scents, but I am definitely saying that keeping a fresh smell helps cleanse our space! There is no need for endless amounts of candles or plugins, especially since they tend to be costly. Both Doctor Aromas reed diffusers and oil diffusers help cleanse your space by using both home perfumes and natural essential oils. ]]>Whether you are living in a dorm or in an apartment, creating a space is important – and it doesn’t take much effort to make your “house” your home! As a college student these living spaces are often just a 15x20 foot room, probably with a roommate, which have to act as a living, studying, sleeping, changing, and eating space all in one. But don’t fret, we can embrace the small space and make it just as cozy as home! Here is a list of things I have found have made a notable difference in my different dorms and living spaces.
Lighting
As a college student, moving to a new city probably means new weather, temperatures and probably lighting! When I left Miami to head off to college in St. Louis, I would have never thought that I needed really good lighting, but I noticed my first year that as the fall approached I really started missing the bright sun. The lighting in a room sets the atmosphere and the tone. If your dorm or apartment just has overhead lighting, I recommend buying a floor lamp for brighter light for when you need to study or hang out in your room as well as some christmas or fairy lights to lighten up the mood and have a more casual and homey ambiance. Your dorm will turn into a home instantly!
Decorations
I was so overwhelmed with the different options for decorating my room that I really tried them all — tapestries, posters, photos, corkboards, you name it, I had it! Though it can be difficult to choose just a couple of things, decorating a space that is so small means you have to plan it out slowly. Don’t rush! You have a whole 9 months at your first year of college, so decorating will be a slow process. Once you (or your student, hey parents!) arrive in your new room or apartment, I recommend looking at your wall space and visualizing the sizing of each wall and what can fit where. Odds are, there is less space than you imagined, but that’s college! You can measure out or use painters tape to plan what will go where. I recommend adding a few mixed media decorations, some pictures, some posters, maybe some small tapestry and mixing everything up! If you choose pieces you really like, odds are your space will come together naturally.
Scent
We are so reliant on our vision in our daily lives, that we often aren’t able to fully embrace the feel of a space just by what we see. For some, this means creating a space by adding lighting or vibrant colors, for others it means adding music to set the space. However, scent is rarely the first thing that comes to mind when we imagine a space, but that’s just what makes it so powerful and memorable! We correlate certain scents with really specific and usually very happy memories — Christmas smells anyone? In my freshman dorm, I remember having a complete mess of clothing and makeup products everywhere (sorry mom!) and having a single reed diffuser on my desk. When friends came over unexpectedly, I was frankly embarrassed, but my visitors seemed to only notice how GOOD my room smelled. From then on I stopped folding clothing — just kidding! But, it did change my attitude in how I created my space and home. I wanted a scent that people could smell and remember me by; they could remember my space and feel comfortable and warm in my 15x20. With Doctor Aromas reed diffusers, I was able to do that! Products like the Doctor Aromas hand sanitizer are also ESSENTIAL for cleaning surfaces on the go such as shopping carts, handles, and of course, our hands!
This September I am off to decorate my brand new apartment and though I definitely remember the struggle of decorating my first dorm room, I remember to keep it to the basics and it makes me excited to make my house my home. Something bright and illuminating, something visual and colorful, and something to make my space smell like my home. Now that I have access to my air conditioning unit, I will be setting up a Doctor Aromas’ system through the AC, but if you aren’t able to access the unit — stick to the basics!

As such, we wanted to explore which aspects of our lives lead to our wellbeing — the ones that experts suggest we keep in mind when working to achieve a complete state of happiness.
MINDFULNESS / FULL CONSCIOUSNESS
Mindfulness also called full consciousness, is to be intentionally aware of the things we do without judging, rejecting, or attaching ourselves to the experience in any way.
This psychological process can be developed through meditation practice or other kinds of training.
PHYSICAL APTITUDE
It is a state of health and wellbeing that involves paying close attention to the body and its needs: exercise, proper nutrition, and rest are key.
SOCIAL
Social wellbeing refers to the interactions we have with the people around us. It involves having meaningful relationships, respecting oneself and others, and creating a support system that includes both family and friends. Our social relationships are the major determinants of our health, so we must continue to foster social connections during these challenging times of physical distancing.
PURPOSE
This relates to finding meaning in your personal and professional life. Establishing a purpose often implies making connections. Whether they're with other people, nature, or our own spiritual life, these processes are intimately connected with wellbeing generally.
FINANCIAL
Financial wellbeing means learning how to successfully manage expenses. As lack of money, or living beyond our means, affects us negatively, it is necessary to learn to develop healthy financial awareness.
All of these facets involved in achieving sustainable happiness have something in common — that is, they implore us to be more aware of and attentive to ourselves and others. As they say, we must always take some time to "stop and smell the roses".

It is the easiest way to improve air quality indoors. Open them even for 5 minutes, and the earlier you do it in the morning, the fresher and purer the air will be. Opening windows, and circulating new air, will reduce the concentration of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) present in cleaning products and even cosmetics, which remain in the air after we use them.
Indoor plants do not just purify the air, they are great decoration and boost our mood, too. It's a triple whammy! Certain plants, such as Palo do Brasil, Gerbera, and Ficus, are so effective that it has been shown that they can eliminate toxic agents such as Benzene, Formaldehyde, and Trichloroethylene.
Sound too good to be true? We truly can't make this stuff up, it's in a NASA study!
Here are some places you can shop for plants online!

Fortunately, for those of us who live in Florida or other hot areas, having central air conditioning is typically commonplace. It also means that we have an air filtration system at our fingertips. Most of these systems use a filter that traps particles. Make sure you are changing the filter frequently!
To get the most out of it, double it up with some Spa. Spa is our home perfume made with 100% Eucalyptus and Mint essential oils. When dispersed through the A/C, the disinfecting and antimicrobial properties of these essential oils* will reach every nook and cranny of your home where the air is circulating.

It is common to use products that are harmful to us without knowing, especially when they're marketed to do the opposite. These effects, however, negate the health and calming results we seek. Make sure your candles are not made from petroleum derivatives like paraffin. Burning paraffin can lead to serious health problems over time, in addition to causing the air in our house to become excessively polluted.

Cleaning right now is extremely important, and it's also likely happening more often. Whenever possible, substitute harsh cleaning chemicals with other, equally effective and natural products. To fight against grime us white vinegar, baking soda, or hydrogen peroxide. Don't forget that there are certain essential oils, such as eucalyptus, mint, or lemongrass, that are proven to have antibacterial and fungicidal properties.* These essential oils are powerful allies when added to household cleaners -- they help clean, and they smell amazing! If you'd rather not add them to cleaners, consider using them in your humidifier or diffuser to disinfect (and fragrantly invigorate) the air.
