Where to place your diffuser according to the type of filter

How it works?

Exposed Filter

Filter parallel to the wall or in diagonal position (with room in front or on the side).

Place the dispenser facing A/C filter when filter is vertical.

The intention is to moisten as much of the surface of the A/C filter as possible.

Filter is parallel to the wall with limited space

If the filter is parallel to the wall with less than 4 inches of space to place the dispenser, it should be placed on the side wall as shown in the example image.

Filter parallel to the floor

Place the dispenser standing under the A/C filter when the filter is horizontal.

Enclosed Filter

Filter is on the ceiling

Open the grid and remove the A/C filter. Hang the system inside the duct.

When there is no space for the dispenser to hang down from the metal rim when the vent is closed

Sometimes, you will need a 10-inch mending plate with 3-4 openings. You will need to screw the mending plate on the metal rim at the opening.

Other example

You will need a 10-inch mending plate (L-shape) with 3-4 openings. You will need to screw the mending plate on a hard surface at the opening.

Filter is on the wall (wall return duct)

Open the grid and remove the A/C filter. Place the System inside the duct.

Note: For the remote control to work properly, the grid needs to be open.
